Dominican Medical Foundation Announces New Medical Office Building on Santa Cruz's West-Side

December, 2007 – A Family Practice Physician and two Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons recently joined Dominican Medical Foundation to meet the needs in Santa Cruz County.

(July 2008) Dominican Medical Foundation is proud to have opened its latest state-of-the-art multi-specialty medical office building in July. Centrally located off Highway 1 at 2018 Mission Street in Santa Cruz's Westside, the facility features primary care services in Pediatrics, Family Practice and Internal Medicine, and will soon include onsite laboratory and imaging services.

The single story, 6,000 square foot building is in the heart of Santa Cruz, and one of seven medical office locations for Dominican Medical Foundation. "We are defining Dominican Medical Foundation as the premier local medical group in the Santa Cruz area with our Mission Street facility," said Patrick Peer, Executive Director for Dominican Medical Foundation, a service of CHW Medical Foundation. "The Mission Street Medical Office underscores Dominican Medical Foundation's on-going commitment to the Santa Cruz market by keeping healthcare local and providing top-quality care to patients of all ages."

Influenza Vaccine Dominican Medical Foundation has a large supply of flu vaccine. Patients over 65 or those with chronic illness should be sure to get vaccinated. All patients are welcome to get the vaccine. The vaccine is a not a live virus and can not give you an infection. Uncommon side effects include a sore arm or low grade fever. Patients with egg allergy or previous reaction to the vaccine should not be immunized.
